Its officially January 31st, which means it is the end of the first month of my 365! I'll admit this has been a little more challenging than I thought it would be! It actually is hard to find something everyday that stands out to you to write about, and actually make it interesting enough so y'all will want to read it! Out of all that comes with doing this as my new years resolution, the hardest thing is actually taking pictures! My goal with this was to actually use my camera as much as possible and take as many pictures through my day as I can, and I'll admit lately I have just been snapping one picture and calling it good! So I have decided to try to add another piece to my new years, and instead of just taking a quick picture through the day, I want to have that camera with me 24/7 and take some more meaningful pictures for this blog! So that is officially my new, new years resolution. Hopefully today is the last day of my not so great pictures, and I'll stick to this new picture goal!. But today was a pretty good day for me! I had my interview at Texas Roadhouse, and I think it went well, and I got called for a 2nd interview tomorrow, so pray that I actually get this job! And I would also like to add it is my dad's birthday today, so I would like to wish him a happy birthday, and thank him for all the amazing things he has done!

Early Birthday
Today I got up early to make my dad breakfast in bed! Really today is not his birthday, but since on Monday's he wakes up at 4:00am, breakfast seemed like a better idea for today. I work up semi-early made him an English muffin with an egg, coffee, and brought him some cereal as well. For some reason I really like to get up and make breakfast in bed, and I'm thinking that will probably be my new birthday tradition! After making the breakfast in bed, I headed out worked out for a bit, and then I had probably the most lazy day I have ever had. Though today was not very exciting, it was relaxing which I guess can be a good thing!
Happy Early Birthday Pops!

Productive
Do you ever have those days that really aren't that busy but you feel like you were incredibly productive? Well today was one of those days for me, and I loved it! Last night I spent the night at Shelley's house, so I headed home this morning, finished all my job applications, turned them all in. A couple of places seemed really promising that I would be able to get a job, I ran into my friend Kaitlyn at a place I turned in an application for, so she put in a good word for me, so hopefully all this effort leads to something! Plus I got asked to go to an interview on Monday! So I am praying that works, because unemployment really does suck. After all the job searching, I went shoe shopping with my mom, and got a pretty fantastic pair of new shoes. And finally to end my night I babysat Nadia. Nadia is probably the smartest 9 year old I have ever met! Her memory just blows my mind, she is the type of kid who sees a movie once, and can pretty much recite the whole thing back, she is learning Latin, and probably has a bigger vocabulary than I do! She is one of my favorite kids to babysit, and we had a blast tonight playing Wii Sports, Clue, Connect 4, and chatting away. I love having productive days, and hopefully my weekend continues to be like this!

You Wish You Were A Maverick!
Tonight a basketball game, and Mountain View not only won our game, but we won the Stinky Sneaker too!!! Stinky Sneaker game for any of y'all who don't know; is a boy's basketball spirit competition between rivals Mountain View school and Meridian High School. So the school gets all decked, you dress up, and chant your heart out for your team, and at the end of the night the school that shows the most enthusiasm, has the loudest crowd, and best sportsman ship wins the Stinky Sneaker trophy, and not to mention bragging rights! In my opinion this is the most fun game to go to, everyone yells as loud as they can, and has a great time. I met up with Kayla and Brianne at the game, and we had an awesome time cheering and yelling for our Maverick boys! Tonight Mountain View came out on top with a 72-51 win over Meridian, so congratulations basketball boys! And congratulations to all the mavericks that showed up to the game and showed Meridian how it is done!

Job Hunting
From July to December I worked at the store Justice or what used to be Limited Too. Though I did like working in a children's store, especially one where I fit in the clothes and get a 40% discount, I did not get many hours, and it was hard to work somewhere that had a 4 hour limit to minor's shifts. So since I quit that job last month, and I quickly ran out of money; today I decided to search for a new job! And I forgot what a horrible process this really is! I went all over town picking up applications and seeing who is hiring, and then sat down for the tedious task of filling out the applications. I ended up filling out applications to Texas Roadhouse, Me Time, two different Idaho Athletic Clubs, Emerald City Smoothie, Chili's, Dickey's, Port-of-Subs, U-Swirl frozen yogurt, and Pita Pit. Even though I only have experience at a children's clothing store, I am desperately trying not to work in retail, and I refused to even go to the mall for applications again, so if anyone knows of a place hiring that is not retail you should let me know!

Triplets
Since today was twin day for spirit week, me and Shelley decided to be triplets with out teacher Mr. Knight, who is notorious for wearing collared shirts and a sweater, so we all coordinated to wear the same. Even though today was a pretty good day, for some reason it was just long and exhausting for me as well! I don't know what is was about today, but I was tired and just ready for the day to be done pretty much all day long. I really do hate the days like that, I don't know if it's from getting up early or what, but i was completely exhausted, even after taking the first real nap I had in a while. Hopefully I get over that today, and tomorrow will be better. It is also Nike day tomorrow, which in my opinion is a extremely lame spirit day, and I know that will be the cop-out day that everyone will dress up for, but even though I am still pretty excited to rep all my Nike stuff!

Finished!
Today me and Shelley finally finished our video! Even though we would love to post it on here, we think we have an even better plan on what to do with it, so we'll just have to wait and see if it works out! To finish our video we filmed at school, another park, Moxie, a random field, and Savers, so we went all around town again, but it was worth it! Today was also nerd day at school, though not too many people were showing school spirit, I did rep wearing my tucked in nerd shirt, some suspenders and long socks. Tomorrow is "Twin Day" and everyone probably guessed me and Shelley would be twins, which is right but we have a little surprise twist to go with it!

Stinky Sneaker Week!
This week is spirit week for the stinky sneaker basket ball game! Since it is spirit week....that means dress up days! Honestly I love dress up days, and having a reason to wear ridiculous clothes, and to just have fun with it! Today was college day, and since I am torn between where I want to go for college I wore my Oregon shirt with some Aggie flip flops, which wasn't my best idea in the cold wet weather! The rest of the spirit week is:
Tuesday: Steve Urkel Day
Wednesday: Twin Day
Thursday: Nike Day
Friday: Spirit Day
Tuesday: Steve Urkel Day
Wednesday: Twin Day
Thursday: Nike Day
Friday: Spirit Day
I am pretty excited to dress up all these days, and even though most people probably wont be going all out, I still will! On another note, today was a great day! I was in a great mood, and it seemed like everyone else was too! I went out of a lunch with my friend Nicole, did some hot yoga, and today marked the start of a new semester, which means new classes! Luckily for me; so far I really love my schedule, and hopefully my B day will be just as great!
Just a sneak peak of my nerd attire for tomorrow!

Half Way
Tomorrow marks the half way point through my senior year, 2nd semester is officially starting! This year has gone by so fast already, and I have a feeling this next semester will go by just as fast. It's so hard to believe that my 4 years of high school are almost done. I still remember my first day of my freshman year at Austin HS, my first day as a sophomore at Mountain View HS, and it amazes me how fast time has gone! Even though my friends, location, and schools have changed in these past 4 years, I have loved almost every minute of it! I am so excited for the next chapters of my life to start. Even though I don't know where I am going to college, what I will be doing for sure, senioritis has already kicked in, we still have senior project, and a million more stressful things, none of that will stop me from enjoying the last semester I have as a high schooler.

Allison and Shelley's day of fun
Today was a busy day for me and Shelley! We were very determined to get as much done on our Justin Bieber video as possible. We ended up going all over the place to film things, we went to the mall, Target, Starbucks, two different parks, and filmed other things around the house, we filmed with random people, and in random places! So far our video is coming out so good, and we are extremely close to being done, which is very exciting since we started this about eight months ago! This video had a lot of problems throughout, we had alot of trouble making this video, the videos wouldn't work on movie maker, the music wouldn't. No matter which computer we tried there seemed to somehow be a problem, but somehow we made it work! To take a break from movie making, we did have a delicious sushi dinner! Even though me and Shelley have hung out a few times recently, we haven't been able to just have a day of laughing and goofing off like we did today so our "day of fun" was very much needed, and I don't think I had laughed so hard in a while!

JB
So today I was lucky enough to not have school, which was an awesome way to end the week after finals! Around noon I headed over to Shelley's house so we could work on our Justin Bieber music video. Some people might remember us working on this last year at school, well we only now got the determination to finish it! We will be working on it more tomorrow and Monday, and hopefully be completely next week! It really will be pretty awesome!
This is just a sneak peek at what will be in our video!
And an older video we made!

Haunted
About three months ago I went and saw Paranormal Activity 2 in the movie theater, and since then I have still be scared of my own house! I know it's not real, but still it makes me paranoid! I had never really been scared in a movie before, until I saw that one, and today I was up stairs in the bonus room, when a printer not even plugged into a computer started to make noises like it was going to print. So of course naturally I think my house is now haunted...I need some serious help getting over this fear!

Home Sick
It's kind of funny to me that even after 2 and a half years of living in Boise, I still randomly get very home stick of Sugar Land! I miss my sister, and brother, and my friends, and the beach, and the hot weather and so much more! I am so ready to go visit this summer, and see everyone again. Yesterday I talked to two of my best friends Nadia and Danielle on Skype and it made me miss everything a million times more! I would LOVE to go to college down there, but everything has to be so dang expensive. So I'm thinking not only should I come visit this summer, but everyone should come up here and visit too! I think that sounds like a pretty good plan!

300
It's only the 18th day of my 365 project, and I have gotten almost 350 views so far! I don't really know of everyone who reads this, but it is extremely awesome to know that people are! Even though it is still very early into the year, I am already enjoying this so much, and I am very determined not to quit it. Though the days I don't do too much are a little harder to write about, I know one day I will really love looking back at everything throughout this year even if it was an great day or not! I get kind of excited thinking about writing about things I know will happen this year like; going to California and a Disney park for the 1st time, going to Texas, graduation, and heading off to college. These are all memories that I'll be lucky to have written in this blog, and i am very excited to keep this going, and see the number of views continue to grow!
Finals Week
Tomorrow marks the start of finals week, which I am actually not too worried about. It worked out to where I'm going to have a 3 day week, which it very exciting for me. Since today was MLK Day, I don't have school, and I was lucky enough to have T.A. and late start Friday, which means so finals for me! I love having such a short week, and I am so ready for 2nd semester to start!

Happy Birthday Mom
This morning started pretty early for me. Since it was my mom's birthday today, I got up to make her some breakfast in bed! I made her pancakes, coffee, and brought it to her on a tray in bed! I have the best mom I could ever ask for, and I was more than happy to make her breakfast to show just a fraction of how much i appreciate, and love her! After breakfast we did some mother-daughter things together. We went to yoga, ran some errands, and went shoe shopping. Later in the night me, and parents went out for a birthday dinner to our favorite restaurant for some sushi, and it was very delicious! Today also marked the end of our Farren Family Weight Loss Competition! Which went as followed:
1st- Cheryl with a loss of 4.6%
2nd-Allison with a loss of 4.2%
3rd- Mom with a loss of 3.6%
I am very proud of all of us! And we will probably be starting something else like this up soon! At the end of tonight, Shelley came over to spend the night, we met up with some other people at iHop, and then headed home to watch Dinner for Schmucks!

Baby Shower
Today was Chelsea's baby shower! So this morning I got up went and bought a cute little baby blanket and headed out. Chelsea is due to have her baby boy Mason, February 22n, so we all got together at her house for some classic baby shower games; like guessing how big the soon to be mothers tummy is with string, and some memory and matching games. It was tons of fun, and when Mason arrives he will have some great new clothes, toys, and more! I met Chelsea through Shelley, and he sister Nikki, and I am so glad I have gotten to know them all, because they are a hilarious group of people, and it was a lot of fun seeing them all today!

Blood Drive
Today was Mountain View's blood drive, and it was the first time I have been old enough to do it! Though it was not the best experience for me, considering it was very painful. I am very glad I did it though, it actually does feel pretty nice knowing that I could be possibly saving another person's life. I am a little bummed I didn't take any pictures of the blood drive, or everyone with their red bandages! I need to get a little better at remembering to take better pictures. Right after school today I went to Kayla's house to help make her dad's birthday cake! We decorated the cake, and I think we did a pretty good job! We also played her xbox connect today, which was the first time I ever had before, and they are so cool! It is easily 1000 times better than a Wii. Today was a pretty good day, and I am ready for the 3 day weekend!

Bronco, Vandal, Duck?
Today I received my second college acceptance letter in the mail from Boise State! Though I am not really too surprised I made it into University of Idaho or Boise State, but I'm still waiting to hear from the University of Oregon. I have really no idea where I want to go for sure. So the question is do I want to be a Bronco? Vandal? Or Duck? Do I want to stay close to home? Move further north? Or to another state? It is such a stressful situation! Anyway; today I went to hot yoga again, which it so much fun, and my newest workout obsession. I even think I got my mom hooked on it! I also officially increased my physics grade 10 percent, and I have a few more things to do, so hopefully I can raise it another 10! I had to do my project standard tonight, so I built a very small, but working catapult out of popscicle sticks, and tape! It actually had a pretty good distance to it, it shot about 3 yards! Hopefully it is enough for a good grade!

Physics
For just over a week I have been trying my best to raise my grade in physics as much as I can before the semester ends. I have been going in before school, after school, and lunch to retake all these dumb quizzes, yet I haven't had that much of an improvement! This has been stressing me out so much! Today I attempted to finish my project standard for the class by doing an experiment with a hard boiled egg, a glass jar and some fire. This experiment is designed for little kids so I thought it would be an easy one to do, but I was wrong. You were supposed to light some news paper on fire, put it in the jar, put the egg on the jar, and the pressure would pull the egg into the jar. Well we tried like 1000 times to make it work, and the egg would get stuck about half way, then nothing else would happen! I think science is just the one thing I will never be good at and today was proof!

Drifting
Lately I have realized that I really miss going to church. I have kind of drifted away from the faith I used to have. In Sugar Land I went to Parkway UMC once or twice a week, and since I have moved here I really haven't been going much at all. I have felt like I haven't had anyone to really go with, but that is a horrible excuse not to go. I wear my Ichthus ring everyday, and I feel like it doesn't really mean much if I'm not going to church and showing some faith. Hopefully with this, I'll start going again very soon!

Senioritis
Senioritis: (Noun) A crippling disease that strikes high school seniors. Symptoms include: laziness, an over-excessive wearing of track pants, old athletic shirts, sweatpants, athletic shorts, and sweatshirts. Also features a lack of studying, repeated absences, and a generally dismissive attitude. The only known cure is a phenomenon known as graduation. That is Urban Dictionary's definition of senioritis, and that applies to me perfectly. Today I had absolutely no motivation to be at school, even though I had late start, I stayed home with my mom, and worked out with her until lunch time. Even though it is hard to believe that I have pretty much finished one half of my senior year, I still can't believe I have a whole semester left!

Time Flies
Yes, that awkward kid in the lovely pink striped overalls is my as a kindergartner! I don't know why, but in a few of my old class pictures, I always seem to be awkwardly off to the side of everyone else. I guess I have just always been a little strange. It is weird the memories you keep as a child, all I can really remember from that year is going to Pecan Park where this picture was taken, getting school supplies, and having older grade reading buddies. It's crazy to me to think I was only about 5 when this was taken, and it about 5 more years i could be teaching other kids that are that age. For a while now I have had my mind made that I want to be a elementary school teacher when I'm older, and seeing things like this makes me want to even more!

Hot Yoga!
So today my day started pretty early for a Saturday! I woke up and met up with my friends Brianne and Kayla for some hot yoga! This was my first time doing hot yoga, so I didn't really know what to expect. All I knew was that you obviously did yoga in a hot room, but I had absolutely no idea how much sweating you do! It's almost disgusting, since about 20 min into the hour and a half class you're already dripping in the about 100 degree room! Even though it was hot and sweaty, it was a really good time! Afterwards we headed to Souper Salad for a healthy lunch, and then back to Bri's to watch Dinner for Schmucks, make cookies, and play Just Dance 2! After all of this, I headed home to find out my mom had invited over her friend Marie, and her family, we had a nice dinner, and played some dominos together. Today was a busy, yet relaxing day, and I had a blast!
Change of Plans
So unfortunately I have to do Friday's blog entry a day late! But Friday was a day of physics for me! Since I am trying to increase my grade in there before the semester ends, I was attempting my retake quizzes for a while after school. I am very proud to say, I did bump some up, to at least a B, which isn't that great of a grade, but for me with how much I have been struggling in there it's pretty darn amazing! Today I also did the finishing touches to my room I reorganized months ago, so I felt semi productive! My plans for later that night didn't work out quite as I planned, so I bought myself so yoga pants, hit the gym, and as soon as I got home I was out like a light!

95
There are only about 95 actual school days left this year, and honestly I could not be more excited! I am so ready to move onto this next step of my life, and be done with high school! I feel like a lot of people are saying they'll will miss high school, but for me personally I think the next few years of my life will be 10000 times better, so I have officially started the count down till May 28th! My next step will be to decide where I am going next, I have been accepted to U of I and I'm waiting to hear back from BSU and OU. On a side note, today was also the premier of the new season of Jersey Shore. I am almost embarrassed of how into that show I am, it is definitely on of my biggest guilty pleasures. I really didn't get to take any pictures today, and i feel like I don'thave a very exciting one to post, so I'm putting another one up I did not post. I don't know it that is cheating or not, but that's what I'm doing today! Also today a member of my family narrowly missed being in a huge accident with a drunk driver. Fortunately everyone in that accident was alright, but it just shows how lucky you can be! I am very thankful he is alright, and so is everyone else. I am also very glad Danny is a member of our family, and that he is married to my sister, so thank the lord he was alright!

Holidays Are Over
All of the Christmas trees and lights are officially coming down, which is very depressing to me! I love Christmas time, and everything about it! Everyone is in a giving mood, I love Christmas lights, and decorations, so I am a little bummed everything is now gone. On the bright side, I guess only about 11 more months until they are back up again. This week after vacation has been completely exhausting and I am so ready for next semester, so hopefully these next two weeks go by fast!

Dinner For Winners
So today is the day the movie "Dinner for Schmucks" came out, and I have been waiting for this to come out since I saw it in the summer. I think it is one of the most hilarious movies ever, which is probably why I saw it 3 times in the movie theater. So as soon as I got out of school, I went straight out to buy it, and I have already watched. This movie is incredibly funny and I suggest everyone go out and buy it if you want to laugh your head off to a good movie! On another not today in another class, we all had to write 2 answers to the following question "In 2010 I learned..." and my teacher read some of the past answers to us. And it was hilarious to hear what people had learned, and most guys had written about things they learned about girls like; "PMS is just an excuse for girls to be themselves." "Talking to girls is like talking to someone smarter than you. You never know what they are talking about and you just smile and nod along." and "Girls are just a big mess of emotions that craves a lot of chocolates." It's interesting to know they things that guys learn about us! Well I have officially completed day 4, so only 361 days to go!
